Dear MCANA Members:
Four years ago, a dynamic group of critics gathered in Fort Worth to cover the finals of the Cliburn Competition and to participate in an MCANA institute. Senior critics and those in earlier stages of their professional careers attended the finals and met daily to discuss a variety of issues concerning the competition and the profession of music criticism. Thanks to generous support from the Fort Worth Convention and Visitors Bureau, we are able to offer another institute, which will be held June 4 - 7 and will include travel* and lodging (meals and incidental expenses will be the responsibility of the participants).
Priority will be given to applicants who expect to write about the competition. If you are interested in being considered for the MCANA/Cliburn Institute, please download and complete the application form below & mail to:

Applicants must have renewed their MCANA membership dues for 2009. The deadline for applying is February 27, 2009.
